Andrés J. García, PhD, ACTSI pilot grant recipient and Woodruff Faculty Fellow, Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering, Chair, Interdisciplinary Graduate Bioengineering Program, Georgia Institute of Technology

Dr. Garcia was awarded the 2012 Clemson Award for Basic Research from the Society for Biomaterials and was recognized by the Georgia Tech Athletic Association as the Hyundai Professor of Excellence.

He was awarded the 2011 Emory+Children's Pediatric Research Center Pilot Award from the Children's Center for Cardiovascular Biology for Cardiac Regeneration as a Novel Treatment for Children with HLHS.
